Bio

Henry Kestler is a fine art event photographer based in Toronto, Ontario. He comes from a theatrical background as both an actor, an independent filmmaker, and screenwriter.In 2002 Henry legally acquired the rights to the novella, “Paranoia in the Launderette” written by Bruce Robinson. Henry adapted the novella and directed the short film, shot on Super 16mm film.In 2003 Henry was awarded a travel grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. The film was shown at various film festivals across Canada.In 2015, Henry completed his first exhibition. A joint exhibit with artist, Carol Matson. He created, “Alice in Wonderland”, themed photographs, using actors and a green screen. An 80-page 11x14 hardcover photobook was created in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the novel, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.”In January 2025, Henry completed his first solo mixed media exhibition called, Vivid Cool. The theme explored what it is like to view the world as an autistic person.Henry also shoots street photography projects.Fine Art Event Photography evolved from his artistic frustration of how many companies post subpar event photos from other photographers and not using his own photographs.Henry's goal is to align himself with clients that actually care about high quality event photos. While it is a niche market, Henry knows the right demographics are out there.
